She and I both have an affinity for the Ouroboros, or self-consuming reptile. I have a tattoo of an ouroboros on my back (my least favorite tattoo for other reasons, so I'm glad I don't have to look at it). I just wish that I had drawn my own tattoo, that's all.
The symbol itself shows up in a multitude of cultures and eras. It is symbolic of the cycles of creation and destruction, and the ironical paradox of consuming oneself for sustenance. Groovy.
Do a google image search for ouroboros and see what you find. I love seeing peoples' interpretations of the same image.
